In partnership with SeaKeepers International, Beneath the Waves, and Global SubDive, this mission explored the capabilities of submersible technology in advancing ocean research and education. While traditional scuba diving limits researchers to brief excursions at depths of 80–120 feet, submersibles allow for extended observation periods and access to depths of up to 1,500 feet—territory previously unreachable with tanks.

This educational expedition served as a hands-on opportunity to better understand how submarines can support marine science by enabling deeper, longer, and more stable dives. The teams conducted deep-sea water sampling and collected biological specimens at varying depths, expanding our knowledge of less-explored layers of the ocean.

Beyond the scientific value, this mission also strengthened relationships with key partner organizations, offering a shared platform for innovation, discovery, and outreach.

And while the setting—a private research yacht—offered stunning sunsets and a unique floating workspace, the real success lay in pushing the boundaries of where and how we study the ocean. This mission exemplifies our commitment to both scientific advancement and educational engagement.
